Day 2:

  • Application of these tools in real healthcare scenarios
  • Participants will collaborate in groups to perform a mock root cause analysis on a clinical case

Module 3: Developing a Quality Improvement Plan

Day 1:

  • Principles of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and setting measurable goals

Day 2:

  • Applying CQI in daily practice and engaging leadership in quality initiatives
  • Hands-on: Participants will create a CQI plan addressing a real clinical challenge within their facility

Module 4: Patient Safety and Risk Management

Day 1:

  • Understanding patient safety protocols, error reporting systems, and risk management strategies

Day 2:

  • Identifying and managing risks in healthcare environments
  • Simulating a risk assessment exercise in a hospital setting and developing risk mitigation strategies.

Module 5: Quality Assurance Audits

Day 1:

  • Audit processes, types of audits, and effective audit planning.

Day 2:

  • Conducting audits and understanding findings for improvement.
  • Participants will practice conducting a mock audit of a healthcare department or process.

Module 6: Compliance and Accreditation

Day 1:

  • National and international standards for healthcare facilities (e.g., JCI, ISO).

Day 2:

  • Preparing for accreditation and ensuring ongoing compliance.
  • Participants will complete a mock self-assessment for accreditation and learn how to implement corrective actions.

  • Techniques for motivating and leading staff in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participants will engage in role-playing leadership scenarios to practice motivating teams for quality assurance.

Module 8: Training at Clinical & Hospital-Based (In-Person)

  • Participants will visit their assigned departments to assess compliance with QA principles using their checklist.
  • Conducting a real RCA on an identified clinical issue in their department.
  • Implementation of a CQI project in their assigned hospital department and tracking progress.
  • Conducting an actual patient safety audit in a clinical department
  • Performing a live quality audit in their hospital or clinical workplace, presenting findings and recommendations.
  • Preparing accreditation documentation and presenting an action plan for hospital compliance improvement.
  • Leading a quality improvement initiative in their assigned department.
