Module 01 - Understand and Perform Endodontic Treatment.

  • Advanced Isolation Techniques and Contamination Control.
  • Access cavity; traditional versus modern trends.
  • Cleaning and Shaping of Root Canal Systems.
  • Irrigation & Root canal cleaning.
  • Principles of Root Canals Obturation & Advanced Obturation Methods

Workshop

  • Rubber Dam Isolation using different techniques with different scenarios.
  • Access cavity preparation is done on the anterior and posterior teeth.
  • Cleaning and shaping using advanced rotary systems.
  • Obturation using lateral condensation and single cone technique.
  • Continuous Wave Compaction & Vertical Compaction obturation Techniques.
  • General Discussion.

Module 02 - Perform Endodontic Re-Treatment.

Lecture

  • Ultrasonics in endodontics & management of Calcified canals.
  • Reasons, Etiology, and considerations of root canal treatments failure.
  • Retreatment considerations; when to/not to re-treat.
  • Techniques for removal of restorations, Core materials, Metallic and fiber Posts.
  • Methods and instruments for removal of root canal filling materials (including Silver Cones)
  • Diagnosis and radiographic interpretation & Cone Beam Computed Tomography CBCT in endodontics.

Workshop

  • Ultrasonic refining of access cavities & exploring MB and MB2 canals.
  • Ultrasonic and low-speed removal of Core materials.
  • Ultrasonic and low-speed removal of metal and fiber posts.
  • Mechanical and manual removal of old filling materials.
  • Root canal cleaning and shaping of retreated teeth.
  • Reading Radiographs and CBCT images.

Module 03 - Manage Endodontic Treatment Complications.

Lecture

  • Vital Pulp Therapy of Mature Teeth.
  • Management of Immature teeth (open apex), perforations, and regenerative endodontics using calcium silicate-based materials.
  • Metallurgy of fractured files and Management options.
  • Methods & techniques for removal of fractured instruments and Complications.
  • Pulp Revascularization.
  • Final Examination. (Exam)

Workshop

  • Management of fractured files located in the coronal third of the root canal.
  • Management of fractured files located in the middle third of the root canals.
  • Non-Surgical repair of furcal perforation.
  • Apical plug for open apex teeth and coronal plug for revascularization of immature teeth (Pulp regeneration).
  • Case-Based Learning & Final Program Conclusion.
